Bellevue East students got an up-close look a life-saving and pretty awesome piece of machinery Wednesday.
The LifeNet medical helicopter touched down at the school. It worked as a follow-up activity for three Bellevue students who gave an informative presentation in several classrooms last week.Their classmates got to see the chopper and ask questions.
The students who presented LifeNet talked about how important it is to know about these kinds of healthcare services.
"Even if they not interested in the health career I think that's it's still good experience to learn and to know what's going on around you what's outside of your own little life," said student Merry McCully.
"And the case that they come into contact with it or have to use it they will know what they are experiencing,” said student Molly Cloyd.
The student presenters got the helicopter visit as a part of their state project for the Health Occupations Students of America.
